Here is the Altec 9444B before restoration.  Notice the rubber board mounts have disintegrated into a gui mess.  The fan bearings are noisy, so a new fan is ordered. The NE5532 op amps are being upgraded to Burr-Brown OPA2132 or LME4562 for better fidelity.  Notice the 16 power transistors cradled in their rib cage heat sink.  Massive transformer built is USA.  This unit was produced in Oklahoma City, OK in 1992.
